Terms of Service
- FabriTrade is an online marketplace. Buyers and sellers make deals with each other; FabriTrade provides the platform.
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and give true information.
- Keep all deals, messages and payments on FabriTrade. Moving a deal off the platform can get your account suspended.
- Sellers pay a 3.5% commission on completed sales. Joining and listing are free.
- No counterfeit, illegal or misdescribed fabric. We can remove listings and suspend accounts that break these rules.
1. Who we are
FabriTrade (“FabriTrade”, “we”, “us”) runs the website fabritrade.net and the FabriTrade app. FabriTrade is an independent project and is not yet a registered company. You can contact us at support@fabritrade.net.
By creating an account or using FabriTrade, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Dispute Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use FabriTrade.
2. Early access
FabriTrade is currently in early access. You can browse, list fabric, message other users and post requests for quotes for free. Ordering, payments and paid boosts are not available yet and will open at our full launch, currently planned for 2027. Features may change during early access. Sellers who list during early access receive a “Founding seller” badge, which shows they joined early and is not a guarantee of performance.
3. What FabriTrade is (and isn't)
FabriTrade is a marketplace where people and businesses list, buy, sell and request quotes for fabric. Each sale is a contract between the buyer and the seller. FabriTrade is not the seller of any item, does not own or inspect the goods, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or delivery of any item, or that a buyer or seller will complete a deal. We provide tools to make trading safer, such as delivery-confirmed orders, seller review, scam protection and dispute review.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to make a binding contract. If you use FabriTrade for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for that business.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person or business should not create multiple accounts to get around a suspension or the rules.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at support@fabritrade.net if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Logins expire after a period of time for your security, and changing your password signs you out of other devices.
5. Rules for sellers
- Describe fabric honestly and accurately: composition, weight (GSM), width, colour, origin, certifications, minimum order (MOQ), price, stock and lead time. Photos must show the actual product or be clearly marked as examples.
- Only claim certifications (for example OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GRS) that you actually hold and can prove if asked.
- Ship what was ordered, on time, with the agreed terms (including Incoterms). Mark orders as shipped only when they really are.
- Respond to buyers and to our dispute reviews within a reasonable time.
- You are responsible for your own taxes, business licences, export rules and any permits needed to sell your goods.
6. Rules for buyers
- Read the listing carefully, and order a sample when quality matters.
- Confirm delivery only after you have received and checked the goods. Confirming delivery tells us the seller can be paid.
- You are responsible for import duties, taxes, customs clearance and any import permits in your country unless the seller agreed otherwise (for example DDP).
7. Keep deals on FabriTrade
To protect everyone from scams, you agree not to ask for or arrange payment outside FabriTrade for a deal that started on FabriTrade, and not to share phone numbers, email addresses or messaging-app contacts to move a deal off the platform. Messages that look like this are automatically flagged and may be reviewed (see our Privacy Policy). Avoiding the platform or its fees can lead to suspension.
8. Fees and payments
- Joining and listing are free.
- Commission: sellers pay a commission of 3.5% of the order total on each completed sale. It is taken from the seller's payout. If an order is fully refunded, the commission on it is not charged.
- Samples have a fixed sample fee shown before you order.
- Boosts (Featured listings) are optional paid promotions. The price is shown before you buy.
- Payment processing: online payments on FabriTrade are being introduced and will be handled by a third-party payment provider. Where online payment is not yet available, an order on FabriTrade is a request to buy, and FabriTrade does not collect money for it. Never send money to a seller through a method outside FabriTrade.
- We may change our fees in the future. Changes will not apply to orders already placed, and we will give notice before new fees take effect.
9. Things you must not do
- List or sell counterfeit goods, or fabric that copies protected brands, logos or designs without permission.
- List or sell anything illegal where it is sold or delivered, including materials from protected or endangered species, or goods made with forced or child labour.
- Trade with anyone in breach of sanctions or export-control laws that apply to you.
- Post false, misleading or fake listings, reviews, prices or certifications.
- Harass, threaten or scam other users, or impersonate anyone.
- Spam, scrape the site, attack or overload our systems, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post. You give FabriTrade a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, translate, resize and share that content so we can run and promote the marketplace, for as long as it is on FabriTrade. You confirm you have the right to post it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
11. AI features
FabriTrade includes AI tools such as the assistant, AI Price Watch and smart matching. AI answers and price notes are for general information only. They can be wrong or out of date and are not financial, legal, customs or trading advice. Check important details yourself before you make a decision. Price Watch shows links to the original news sources. Please don't type personal or confidential information into the assistant.
12. Reviews, verification and moderation
A “Verified” badge means our team reviewed that seller's account. It is not a guarantee of the seller's performance. We may review flagged messages, listings and orders to keep the marketplace safe, and we may remove listings, hide content, cancel orders or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
13. Disputes between users
If something goes wrong with an order, follow our Refund & Dispute Policy. We will review the case and may decide how funds held for the order are handled. Our decision on how FabriTrade-held funds are released does not stop you from using any other legal rights you have against the other party.
14. Ending your account
You can stop using FabriTrade at any time and delete your account in the app (Help, then Delete my account) or by emailing support@fabritrade.net. Open orders and disputes must be finished first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Some records (such as order and payment records) may be kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Disclaimers
FabriTrade is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and secure, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent allowed by law, we do not give warranties about the goods sold by users, or about the accuracy of listings, user content or AI output.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, FabriTrade will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, lost business or lost data), or for the acts, goods or failures of buyers and sellers. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to FabriTrade in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as FabriTrade grows. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app or by email about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using FabriTrade after that, the new Terms apply.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live. Before going to court, please contact us at support@fabritrade.net so we can try to solve the problem informally.
